We cater for every fitness level, age, shape and size. Our workouts and our programming are scaled to meet every level. We aim at elite fitness in all 10 of the physical skills. We don’t want you to just be strong and have stamina, but also power, speed, flexibility, coordination, agility, balance & accuracy. You are certain to get into the best shape of your life.

Kids in tow. It’s school holidays but don’t let that be an excuse to skip classes. Bring them with you! The thought of that is painful and may cause a cringe for some- but it is achievable! Firstly, it is important that your children see you in the gym for a number of reasons. So they can see you prioritising your needs, demonstrating hard work, best effort and a healthy habit. Secondly, it maintains a bit of balance & routine in the absence of the normal balance & routine. Maintaining your attendance to the gym will aide the mental clarity during the school holiday period. Tips for having the kids tag along at the gym:-Pack a bag as normal. With a fully stocked lunch box, colouring book, toy or two and a drink bottle they should have the basics to get through class.-iPad/tablets in YOUR bag. If you choose to have kids on a device we bear no judgement! Though it is useful to with hold it…keep it as a secret weapon if things start to go pear shaped! -Plan with your mates. Siblings often fight so get some friends to the same classes, pool your children & watch them all have fun together! If you decide to bring kids along with you at any time, please remember some general house rules:-NO kids on the gym floor during class time, this is especially important for everyone’s safety. -If they’re playing outside you need to remain watchful even during your workout. -Running/outdoor wods kids need to be clear of all athletes.-Cleaning up after your kids.-Generally exercising common sense & courtesy. Movement Spotlight!Todays ‘add on’ workout features the ROPE CLIMB. These are a challenging movement because not only do they require a certain amount of strength to perform but also coordination under that pressure of holding one’s body weight. As always though, just because you may not be able to Rx the rope climb does not mean that you miss out on all of its challenges and benefits. There is always a scaling option available for you. Rope lowerings are the most common as we get to use & move along the rope without the pressure of coordinating the feet whilst holding our own body weight. Our short ropes suspended from the rig are a great option here too- so you can comfortably take your weight on a pull up bar and focus on mastering the ‘foot lock’.Other options include pulling a kettle bell suspended from the rig, to emulate that hand over hand pull in a climb, as well commando or strict pull ups. Scaling is only limited by imagination! So if you’re afraid you can’t do a certain movement, our qualified coaches are always guiding or also participating in class and are there to help you! Workout Wednesday! 50 wall walks 100 calories *partition howeverThis shoulder buster is still only relatively new to the CrossFit repertoire of official movements, as it was widely used as a warm up drill until it made a brutal appearance as a workout movement in the 2021 CrossFit Open. Although it provides the obvious burn on the shoulders this is a total body movement. Similarly to handstand walking, transferring weight with the arms at their most extended position places huge demand on the core and stabiliser muscles throughout the body. Workout Wednesday!Featuring PISTOL SQUATS! Pistols are a UNILATERAL movement- meaning we are working limbs singularly (as opposed to a regular squat utilising both). The Pistol squat challenges strength primarily in the glutes, hip and quads. However, single leg exercises recruit the deep stabilisers of the core- making it also a midline exercise that works to improve our balance.Additionally, working each side (in this case, leg) individually means each is worked EQUALLY. Using one side helps identify & target imbalances, isolates & targets the intended muscle groups and helps to neutralise our dominant side.Pistols also place a huge demand on our mobility. Any flaws or limitations in your range of motion of the ankle, knee and hip joints are exposed in this skill that might otherwise be masked or compensated for by the body in a regular air squat. QUARTERFINALSUpon the conclusion of the CrossFit Open there is another stage of workouts that only the top 25% of athletes in the field are eligible to participate in.
