Coaching simply makes me smile. I love seeing a class come together to enjoy the best hour of their day. It doesn’t matter to me your gender, age, ability, injuries or limitations. What matters is that you enjoy yourself in my class, you take that feeling of accomplishment and you want to come back next time. I want to welcome everyone, whether you’re super competitive, want to learn some new skills or content with just getting some exercise it done.
I’ve been involved with CrossFit Woolgoolga since 2011. I’ve enjoyed the highs of being fit and strong, dabbling in a little bit of competition. I’ve continued despite bouts of injury (safely modified and guided, of course) and periods of low motivation. I even remained training throughout my pregnancy and postpartum phase. It is so much more than exercise; it is a mental outlet and well as physical. What got me through was the beautiful, supportive culture of the CrossFit Woolgoolga crew. The friendships are that of family, and the place that is my second home.
